Formative Login

Formative connects directly with the SIS provider for nightly synchronization of student data. It can also run reports on any demographic or other data shared by the SIS. Single Sign-On (SSO) allows you to use your Google, Microsoft or Clever profile to authenticate you when you log into it. If your school account is tied to one of these providers, they encourage you to use SSO for greater efficiency. If you do not use one of these providers, you can create a password for your login. Students and teachers can utilize either method. It allows you to synchronize rosters with your Student Information System (SIS). Synchronizing rosters with your SIS is one way to set up all teacher and student accounts and automatically assign all students and teachers to their classes.

For Teachers:

2. Log in with a Google, Clever, or Microsoft account by clicking on the corresponding icon. If you don't use one of those, you can create a password for your Formative login.
3. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot password?" on the login page to reset it.

For Students:
1. If your teacher has given you a join code, go to app.formative.com/join and enter the code to create an account.
2. If your teacher has already created an account for you, go to app.formative.com/login to log in.

If you are new to Formative, you can sign up for an account by clicking "Sign up here" on the login page. Once you have created an account, you can access resources to help you get started by clicking "Support" at the bottom of the left-side menu of your Formative page.
