John Hancock has been our insurance provider for almost 15 years and we have paid a considerable amount of money into our policies. In the last 10 years, our premium rate has increased three times, on average by 25% each time. This has caused our premiums to double in price. John Hancock has offered us alternatives to keep the cost down, such as reducing our Inflation option, increasing our elimination period, or accepting a shared cost on any claims. While this may not be ideal, it is a way to keep our premiums more affordable. We understand that John Hancock is trying to keep their clients' costs down, and we appreciate their efforts to do so. We would recommend John Hancock to anyone looking for an insurance provider.

My parents have been paying into this plan for over 30 years. They received what was supposed to be the "cadillac plan" since my aunt worked for the company at the time and suggested it. My mother and father are in their 80's and we have gone through the tedious, time consuming process of paperwork. We finally thought everything was in order for the caregiver (approved) and now they want to send a nurse (again) to reevaluate. We received another letter stating they are reviewing our case again. Although the customer service people have been helpful, the process has been lengthy and complicated. My husband and I have LTC with a different company and we are considering whether we should continue with John Hancock. John Hancock is not the prestigious and ethical company it used to be. I would not recommend this company.
