Established in 1974, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a public academic health center in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to education and research in medicine, dentistry, nursing, and public health. Through its numerous degree and certificate programs including doctor of medicine, doctor of dental medicine, doctor of philosophy and master of nursing degrees, the university strives to provide its students with outstanding educational opportunities. It also houses a variety of research institutes and centers which focus on cancer research, neuroscience, cardiovascular disease and other biomedical areas. OHSU is committed to furthering knowledge and innovation in healthcare as well as advancing biomedical research.
