Capital One has been the issuer of the Walmart Credit Card since October 2019. To be eligible for the Walmart Credit Card, you must have a good to excellent credit score. The exact credit score requirement is not disclosed, but it is generally accepted that you must have a score of at least 650 to be approved.

There are two types of Walmart credit cards available. The Capital One Walmart Rewards Card is a Mastercard that can be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. The Walmart Rewards Card* is a closed-loop store card, meaning it can only be used for purchases within the Walmart ecosystem. Both cards offer rewards and benefits to cardholders.

You can check your rewards balance for the Capital One® Walmart Rewards™ Mastercard and the Walmart Rewards™ Card by logging into your account online or through the Walmart App. You can also check your balance by calling the customer service number on the back of your card.
